Well put, Richard. I like this comparison, dance to sex. Sadly, I've never been great at this kind of dancing, despite my mother being a championship ballroom dancer. I tried to learn salsa with my wife for years. It was hopeless. Translation: I didn't have adequate patience or interest. I certainly hope this says nothing of my other skills, though.
Latin America teaches one patience. That, or one goes home.
It was more the interest, I think. I didn't want to learn steps. Dance, to me, is freedom of expression. Steps are not that. (I know, I know. The steps lead to freedom of expression, within the framework.)
